Scottish Ministers reject wind proposal for first time in 4 years

An application for a 27-turbine wind farm at Spittal Hill in Caithness was refused yesterday, following an inquiry in May 2011 - the first refusal by Ministers since the Kyle and Lewis windfarm proposals were rejected in 2008. Energy Minister Fergus Ewing said the impact on nearby properties and the cumulative landscape impact, with existing and consented wind farms nearby, were too high. http://www.scotland.gov.uk/News/Releases/2012/06/SpittalHill13062013
